The last few weeks I’ve struggled with keeping my emotions in line. I don’t really know what happened… it’s like I’m mad at the world but I’m really not.
It’s not the first time I have felt like I my emotions were a little out of control and unfortunately I know that there are many who can identify with me.
The right thing at the right time
I happened on this great article by Robyn McMaster on the power of thanks. It was like a shot of inspiration.
Being thankful really does make the difference between a good day and a bad day. Or a good day and a great day. Being thankful gets your attention on the right things.
So thanks to Robyn I’m remembering to be thankful. What a great week I plan to have.
What about you? Thankful for anything??

Dave, you made my day, too! At times I do awaken cranky. And, it can be more than not getting my “cuppa Java” quickly enough.
So by keeping this in mind it makes a difference.
To extend that here’s two more ideas…
1. Smile as you greet people. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the warmth that comes back to you.
2. Encourage a couple of others in a genuine way during your day. This is the clincher to take the day to a whole new level! You’ll be surprised at how it affects you as well as others.
Like I said, your kind words truly make my day, Dave.

Robyn, glad I could make your day. Your article came at just the right moment for me. Thanks a bunch. It’s not that I don’t know the stuff….it’s just needed a well-placed reminder from time to time.

I was busy searching my inner self these couple of months. I found that my inner self, that creates my outer world, is so much bigger and deeper than my conscious mind and reality. What I feel deep inside and what I think I got to do is indeed polar apart. These clashes of interest resulted a very frustrated, moody and confused me for days. However, when I’m in my moments of clarity, I said my thanks, prayers and gratitude to God and the Universe for the opportunities and abundance. Yes, I’m thankful that I’m on the path continuous learning. I will be dying if I’m not growing. Discomfort is just a sign of growing and evolution.
Your post made me a little reflective, Dave.

Wow Vivienne, that’s really cool. Always good to reflect. Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner, two birthdays in our family this week and way too much stuff going on to get online. Talk to you soon.
