The Lights are Being Turned On Again

A quiet week.

quiet.png

Well it was a quiet week in my part of the blogosphere. It’s like the curtains never opened and you couldn’t see any lights peaking under the doors.

Amazing how a blog can seem like a home.

Actually my life was very unquiet this week. I spent most of the week at a conference catching up with colleagues. It was invigorating, exciting and exhausting. I loved it.

I was reminded about excellence in every area of life. I also came away from the conference feeling much more motivated to do the really important things in my life. I’ve already started putting some of that into practice.

How was your week? What kept you occupied?

I’ve got an idea. I was just looking at my Kiva.org account and I’d love to help someone else get involved. Sooo…. I’m giving a $25 Kiva gift certificate to the first and the 12th commenter on this post…

Jump in and let’s talk. Oh and Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends!

I’ve always been curious about Kiva.org, Dave… just how would a $25 gift certificate work? Does the recipient get to choose who they loan to?

In answer to your question… it’s been a fantastic week! :) I’m getting back in the groove of things, and have made some real decisions (and taken action on those decisions) about the direction of the life and how I’m spending my time.

Thanks for the links, and thanks for asking.

    Lyman,

glad you came by. It’s awesome that you’re taking action on your decisions. As we both know that is often the hardest thing. YOUR $25 gift certificate will allow you to choose who you loan the money to and when it is repaid it’s still your $25. Congratulations!

    Details to follow by email.

 Woo-Hoo! There’s something to give thanks for – and what a great way to get people involved in kiva.org. Thank you, Dave.

Too often what occupied my attention was peeves not wonder moments. Thanks for the attitude adjustment and this idea-packed blog!.

You can’t raise positive people on negative feedback.

    Opportunity is often inconvenient.

    Remember the many
    compartments of the heart,
    the seed of what is
    possible. So much of who
    we are is defined by
the places we hold for each
other. For it is not our ingenuity
that sets us apart, but our
    capacity for love, the
    possibility our way will
be lit by grace. Our hearts
    prisms, chiseling out the
    colors of pure light.

    Hi Kare,

Well said! I love the last line especially: “chiseling out the colors of pure light.” Definitely room for more light in this world. Thanks for stopping by.

    Sssh Dave,
Don’t tell anyone, but I got some extra sleep. :)

    — “extra sleep” — it’s almost like someone said a bad word

The most rewarding time to my grey cells in November has to be attending T Harv Eker’s training program. I’m reminded to be a great giver and a excellent receiver, to work hard and play equally hard to gain a balanced and fruitful life. With so many things changing in my life right now … getting a right mind set is so, so important.

You support Kiva. I support our Children Cancer Society and Handicap Welfare Association here. :)

You are such an inspiration, Dave… thank you for reminding us of the human spirit, much less the holiday spirit!
