I think we’re kind of like Junior Varsity… haven’t done quite enough to be one of the big boys yet. I know that Aaron added me because of a donation that I made back when the site was still being built, which was quite the nice surprise.

You raise an interesting point. If you’ve got enough spare space in your emotions, then go ahead… hang on to it. If not then Let It Go!

It’s true. Most people will not intentionally offend, inconvenient, upset or anger someone. I can file in a feedback and hopefully the management will fill in the gap in the service level process.

You are so right. The point is somehow, someway we need to figure out a way to let things go. If we don’t we get small and we don’t grow. Either that or we end up somehow stuff back in time at the moment we got offended or upset.

Letting go is a great personal practice to develop. As you’ve suggested, carrying around the guy who cut us off in traffic, the woman who made a comment about wardrobe choice, the guy who cut the line in the movie queue…we get smaller from the weight of them all after a while!

In my work with folks, I’ve found that some of us can just say to ourselves, some of the time, “Ah, let it go” and it can happen. And I’ve found that others of us just can’t…the mantra alone doesn’t work and so it’s not that simple. When I work with folks to figure out what it is that’s eating them about the thing that was said or done, the act of surfacing that can often be the catalyzing moment that then allows the letting go to happen.
