Hi Greg… I don’t think I realized you were a Canadian as well. There are a pile of us around… probably ought to start some kind of support group for… hmm… our superiority complex.

    Thanks for stopping in!

    Hi Dave
Like to borrow your blog and your community to contribute towards a greater cause. Today is the first day of the World Internet Summit (held in Singapore). The speaker includes Brett McFall, Tom Hua, Stephen King, Mike Filesaime, Mark Joyner etc. The highlight of the summit is to raise $100,000 to feed 1 million children within 72 hours. I want to help hence put the info at my blog: http://www.versacreations.net. Perhaps you and your community can spread the news?:

We are living comfortably, we just want to make money to buy a bigger house or another car. But somewhere out there, a child is starving … let’s help

  • DaveOlson

Vivienne… Here’s a link to the details about feeding a child. Sounds like a really great cause. I’m heading over to download the report right now.

Thanks, Dave. Will keep you updated if we got that $100K by 29 May.

At 9am, 27 May, Singapore Time, you, I and lots of other caring people have raised USD31,800. Thanks … Dave.

  • DaveOlson

Vivienne… that is soooo cool.

At 9am, 28 May, Singapore Time, only $68,000 raised. With only 1 day left, I wondered if the Feed the Children charity drive will be a success. Some fellow attendees only downloaded the free report to contribute a plate of food that’s sponsored. They are not willing to donate $30… … not even with freebies from marketing and internet gurus. This amount is so small that it will be gone without us knowing where we spent it. Yet …. sigh… I’m disappointed. On the brighter side, I know 2 visitors from your community came to my blog post. That’s cool …

  • DaveOlson

Vivienne… Stephen Pierce has added another option for people to contribute to the Feed the Children drive. You can contribute $8 and up. Send anyone you know to that link.

Good News … at 64-hour, we broke the USD100,000 mark. Probably more contributions are streaming in. I’m glad I can make a difference, even just an iota of it. Afterall, internet is all about people and relationship after we removed all the wires and cables. If the pix of the cheque award ceremony turns out well, I’ll post it up or email you. Afterall, you made it possible too. :)

I enjoyed the Blog Herald post but I don’t know if I’m implementing all the suggestions yet.
