Taking my inspiration from Monday Motivation over at eMomsatHome.com, I’ve been creating more realistic todo lists. Here’s what’s working for me
- Limit the size of your daily todo list to no more than 5 or 6 items. Many more items than that and it ends up being a should do list rather than a will do list.
- Give yourself a reward or a consequence depending on whether you complete all the list or not.
- Put at least one easy item on the list — probably at the top. Finishing it gives you a motivational hit.
- Tell someone what you are going to do. Post it on your blog or leave a comment on Monday Motivation.
What are your hints for making a todo list that actually works? Let’s talk!
