Get over it!

This week has been a week of review and reflection for me. Here’s some of the sites that I’ve been reading. I hope you enjoy them just as much as I have.
- There is an excellent article from Steve Olson on surviving an entrepreneurial dip. If you like Seth Godin’s new book: "The Dip", you are going to love this.
Are you in a dip? This just might help push you through it. - Neil Patel has a new blog at quicksprout.com. It’s all about branding. I know we are starting to hate the word but his article on making money through personal branding might be enlightening.
- Des Walsh weighs out some of the pros and cons of anonymity on your blog. The article is "You’re a nice looking blog – Who owns you?"
- How do you know if you are "linked in"? If you grew up in a small town this is gonna bring back some memories. What a great way to describe genuine networking.
- What does it take to be creative? Darren Rowse has 9 Attitudes of Highly Creative People that you will want to read over and over again.
What did you think of the articles? Let’s talk!

Glad you like quick sprout!
Hi Neil… yeah I love the new blog. Thanks for stopping by.
Thanks for including the post about my Mom. I wanted to honor her while telling a lesson that makes sense out of our new networked world.
Much appreciated.
Keep creating,
Mike
Hi Michael.. thanks for stopping by.
I loved the post about your mom. It reminds me so much of what it is like to grow up in a small town. We’ve raised our kids in a small town and I identify with your mom.
Thanks for the link to the blog about anonymity. Since posting that I’ve been noticing more and more blogs where the owner’s identity is a mystery. Given my focus on blogging as a business tool, I keep wondering – for people using it that way – what’s the point if no one knows who you are? I suspect it’s partly a design problem in blogging software – some people just don’t know where or how to post the biodata.
Hi Des and welcome.
It may be a design problem but I’ve encountered some anonymous blogs where the owner is just plain cranky and wants to rant without anyone identifying them. For business you may be right though.
