Well maybe not quite next to but there is certainly something to be said about keeping things neat and tidy.
Have you ever noticed that some of the most productive people you know keep their workspaces neat and tidy? If you want to become more productive and more self-disciplined then start with keeping your work and living spaces tidy.
Here’s why it’s important to keep your spaces tidy:
- Less effort. It takes very little extra effort to put something back where it belongs and much more effort to move it twice.
- Less time wasted. Time wasted searching for misplaced items could be better used in other activities.
- Less mental strain. When something is untidy it becomes an unfinished task and mentally wears on you
- Feel good factor. Tidy spaces leave you feeling better about yourself.
More on this tomorrow…
